Step 1

Start by mixing the ground turkey with water, liquid smoke, kosher salt, pink salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, garlic powder, and sage in a big bowl. Stir everything together really well so the spices are evenly spread. Cover the bowl and pop it in the fridge for at least 8 hours, or overnight if you have time.

Step 2

When you’re ready, load the seasoned turkey into a jerky gun and squeeze out as many sticks as will fit on your dehydrator racks. Set your dehydrator to 155°F (68°C) and let the jerky dry for about 2 and a half hours.

Step 3

Once the time’s up, turn off the dehydrator and take the lid off. Let the jerky sit for another hour to finish drying and cool down before storing or snacking.

Good to know.

Cook's tip

- Slice the turkey as thin and even as possible for consistent drying.
- Marinate the meat overnight to enhance flavor and tenderness.
- Use a dehydrator or oven set to low heat to slowly dry the jerky without cooking it too fast.

Why you’ll love it

This jerky is packed with bold flavors and a satisfying chew that makes it perfect for snacking anytime. It’s a healthier alternative to traditional snacks and a great way to enjoy lean turkey in a fun, portable form.
