Crack in the eggs and sprinkle the cornflour. Stir it all together until the mixture is smooth but still a little thick.
Spoon the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a round tip.
Heat some oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Once hot, pipe the mixture into spiral shapes, like little jalebis, making 2 or 3 circles at a time.
Fry them gently until they turn a lovely light golden brown, then remove and drain on paper towels.
Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
- Use starchy potatoes like Russets for the best texture.
- Make sure to dry the potato slices well to get them extra crispy.
- Fry in hot oil but not too hot, around 350°F (175°C), to avoid burning.
These crispy spirals are a fun and tasty way to enjoy potatoes. They have a satisfying crunch on the outside and a soft, fluffy inside. Perfect as a snack or a side dish, they bring a playful twist to a classic ingredient.
Serve these spirals with a variety of dips like garlic aioli, ketchup, or spicy mayo. They also pair well with grilled meats or a fresh salad for a balanced meal. Adding a sprinkle of fresh herbs can brighten the flavors.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. To keep them crispy, reheat in the oven or air fryer instead of the microwave. Avoid storing them for too long, as they may become soggy.
